It's Bandcamp Friday!

It's the best time to show some of your favorite bands some support.

Bandcamp Fridays began in March of 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic when the shuttering of venues led to a loss of vital tour revenue for artists. Since then, Bandcamp Fridays—on which we waive our revenue share and pass the funds directly to artists & labels—has resulted in millions of fans paying over $120 million directly to labels and musicians they love.

I thought I would share some of my favorites with you all, and while these are mostly metal acts, Bandcamp is a great source for independent artists of all genres!

Haunt, one of my favorite bands of the new NWOBHM, just released a new LP:

Ignite, by Haunt
10 track album

The CD is only 10 bucks!

And if you lean a little more electronic, check out VNV Nation. They have a new album that was released this year as well:

Construct, by VNV Nation
10 track album

Victory not vengence!

And for a final recommendation: King Buffalo. Hard to pin down, this one. From psychedelic, to stoner to prog, this band just scratches an itch for me. My favorite release from them:

The Burden of Restlessness, by King Buffalo
7 track album

Add me on Bandcamp https://bandcamp.com/draft13. Let's be friends!

Okay, one more recommendation. If you like to meditate, and also like metal check out the newest release from enigmatic, Dhyana:

Arahant, by Dhyana
6 track album

Your yoga teacher wasn't expecting this, but they may love it.
